Winemaker Tasting Notes:
This Livermore Valley wine is a proprietary blend of Merlot, Syrah, Petite Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel that is reminiscent of some of the better Rhone varietals. It has become a favorite of those who appreciate an unusual and finely crafted wine. The 2003 Estate Castello Nuovo was cellared for thirty months in mostly new oak barrels.

No effort or expense was spared for the vines to produce low yields of the highest quality grapes that the Livermore Valley can grow.
