A full bodied wine that has a bouquet of black fruits, spice and cedar with a complexity of flavors such as cassis, cocoa, and coffee, combine to make a compelling wine. Firm tannins show in the finish. Lovely now but will improve over the next 5 -7 years.
History of the "Red" Series:
With the passing of our father Harry “RED” Coturri (1917-1997), co-founder of Coturri Winery, we decided to honor him with wines typifying our Tuscan heritage. The label has a picture of RED painted by the famous Mexican artist Antonio Angular in 1943 when RED was 26 years old.
