Harrington 2004 Pinot Noir Brosseau Vineyard$50.00 -- ChalonePurchase Harrington 2004 Pinot Noir Brosseau Vineyard
Vineyard Notes:
The 2004 Brosseau is sourced from a well-known vineyard in the Chalone appellation in Monterey County. Located within a mile of the Pinnacles State Park, the soil is notable for it's high level of limestone which is a major component in the greatest vineyards of Burgundy. A single barrel of this wine was produced in 2004. Only one clone of Pinot Noir, 113, was used to produce this wine, hence it's beguiling nose and firm structural appeal. Winemaker Tasting Notes: This wine initially exhibits cranberry and cherry on the nose with subtle notes of tea leaves and bacon. On the palate, one is struck by the racy red fruit flavors and earth. Chalk, tar and some forest floor help fill out the bottom. There is a bright natural acidity, firm tannins and a nervosity in this wine which helps to frame and focus the wine. Drinking well now, but cellaring for 2 to 3 years is recommended. Technical Notes:
