Monticello Vineyards 2004 Merlot, Estate

Vineyard Notes:
The Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley of Napa Valley is home to our merlot vineyards, where we planted two clones of merlot (#181 and #6) from which we produce lush grapes power-packed with intense flavors and an abundance of bright fruit.

Tasting Notes:
Our Estate Grown Merlots display intense aromatics of blueberries, red berries, black fruits, and roasted nuts along with toasted oak. Medium to full-bodied, it shows a luxurious richness of sweet fruit flavors with moderate tannin levels. The bright fruit accompanies a suppleness that shows in the mouth-feel of the final wine. Although ready to drink today, our merlots are well structured and age well.
