Macari Vineyards, located on the North Fork of Eastern Long Island in Mattituck, is owned and operated by the Macari Family. Macari is dedicated to a more natural approach to winemaking. Extensive soil preparation, rich composts, careful cover cropping and a consideration to wildlife and terrain are what makes Macari's 180 planted acres stand out from the rest. Winemaker Tasting Notes:
This wine exhibits spicy aromas reminiscent of cloves, nutmeg, and just a hint of berry. A light bodied, soft Cabernet Franc. It is fruity up front, while appearing chewy mid palate due to the dense flavors of plum and pitted fruit. The finish is long and lingering with just a touch of soft oak.
