Vineyard Notes:
Macari Vineyards, located on the North Fork of Eastern Long Island in Mattituck, is owned and operated by the Macari Family. Macari is dedicated to a more natural approach to winemaking. Extensive soil preparation, rich composts, careful cover cropping and a consideration to wildlife and terrain are what makes Macari's 180 planted acres stand out from the rest. And all of these premium efforts ultimately produce premium wines.

Winemaker Tasting Notes:
Full and rounded, with supple tannins, this Merlot, stylized from the choicest of Macari fruit, tantalizes the palate with the appealing bouquet of violets as it satiates the senses with the flavors of ripe, juicy black cherry and plum. Mid palate, the elegant structure of this wine teases with just a touch of toasty oak, leading to a finish that is smooth, soft and filled with fruit.
