Farmers Jane has a lot to do with unique growers and a couple of focused female winemakers; Angela Osborne (A Tribute to Grace) and Faith Armstrong Foster (Onward Wines). Their label here is detailed but simple, their wines are anything but simple.

The 2012 Field White is excitement in a bottle, blended of Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and Roussanne. Bright clear clean acidity generates the electrics that refresh immediately but then hang on palate for an eternity. Lingering sense of fresh cut lime and minerality.

Hot day, light foods, shellfish - this is a friend forever.
