Winemaker Tasting Notes:
The noble Tempranillo is often referred to as the “Cabernet of Spain” due to its distinctive textures, tannins and flavors. Its name comes from “temprano” or “early” as it's known to yield its fruit early, both in the vineyard and in the wine. Our Tempranillo was barrel aged for 16 months on neutral French oak and Minnesota tight-grained oak. It was blended with approximately 5% Graciano from the same vineyard. Its versatile character complements a variety of foods such as pasta, steak and gourmet cheeses. It has quickly become very popular in California as well as other parts of the world.
