About Fall Creek Vineyards:
Fall Creek Vineyards was established in 1975 by Texas businessman/rancher, Ed Auler and his wife, Susan. The vineyards are located eighty miles northwest of Austin in the Texas Hill Country where the sandy loam soil, warm days and cool breezes off Lake Buchanan provide an excellent microclimate for growing premium wine grapes.
A Note About Perfect 10:
Perfect 10 is a premium wine that strives for perfection. The pacific winds off the coast of California help us craft wines that are simply ‘perfect.’ Only the finest grapes grown in the Monterey and Paso Robles regions are used in making Perfect 10 wines. Both the Chardonnay and Merlot are made in a style that allows the perfectly ripe fruit to shine along a smooth, velvety texture. For centuries, wine lovers have equated a great wine to a beautiful woman. Feminine descriptors such as charm, grace, finesse and character are often used to describe both women and wine. Our ‘classically elegant’ wines have been compared to a beautiful woman, and this comparison became the vision of Perfect 10. The comparison of our wines to beautiful women is also the motivation for each of the elegant label designs. The art depicted on both the Blonde and Brunette labels was painted by an artist exclusively for Perfect 10 wines. Perfect 10 is more than just a wine, it’s a concept. The 2004 Merlot is laced with vivid, well-defined flavors. Ripe and lush cherry, plum and currant fruit flavors dominate with a touch of cinnamon and spice and oak. An elegant texture leads to a prolonged finish with a touch of vanilla.
