RUSTY GAFFNEY, MD
About the Prince:
William “Rusty” Gaffney is a retired physician with a passion for good Pinot Noir: California, Oregon, Burgundy, or wherever it may turn up. He is particularly interested in the creative stories behind good Pinot. Rusty drinks good Pinot daily, reads about Pinot daily through all the available sources on wine and visits Pinot-producing wine areas of the world regularly.
Rusty’s free newsletter dedicated to Pinot Noir, the PinotFile, is published weekly on the internet. He doesn’t give numerical scores on Pinot -- just some helpful comments. Like good sex, good Pinot is totally sensual and not numerical (was your last romantic encounter a 91 or 92/100?).
Finding good Pinot is a daunting task that requires patience, persistence and money. Often less than 500 cases of a Pinot are available for the world. Rusty Gaffney hopes that his newsletter allows you to score a few choice bottles for your cellar.
"Welcome to the Crew."
