The landmark May 2005 decision of the Supreme Court, aimed at opening the way for the all-important direct (ordering & shipping) relationship between consumers and wineries hasn’t removed all the barriers…yet. Sadly, some states continue to maintain barriers which deny even their own proud in-state wineries the freedom to ship directly to valued customers, as well as prevent local consumers from reaching out to wineries beyond the state border.
