Winemaker: Jeff Herinckx

Jeff was born in Hillsboro, Oregon, the 10th of 11 children and is a cousin to the Vuylsteke's. He is no stranger to hard work having grown up on a farm. In 1980 he went to work as a small engine mechanic and then came to Oak Knoll in 1984 as a cellar worker. In 1988 he became the assistant winemaker and in 2003 took over as the winemaker.Jeff's background is a definite asset to his position here. He not only makes the wine, he comes up with new ideas to keep the wine fresh and new for our customers. Jeff certainly keeps Oak Knoll running like a well oiled machine.
