Widmer's Wine Cellars |
Widmer’s Wine Cellars was found in 1888 by John Jacob Widmer and his wife Lizzette. We offer a guided tour including all phases of wine making from growing the grapes, aging the juice, bottling and best of all, tasting the wine! Widmer’s is a working winery; and as you go throughout our walking tour, you will see the progressing of the product. Our aging cellars still have large wooden casks, each containing over 10,000 gallons of wine -- the smell is wonderful. On your visit you will learn about kosher wines, see the bottling facility and learn about champagnes. After the 45 minute walking tour you will finish up at our tasting bar and gift shop. The entire outing takes a little over an hour. -- we feel it is time well spent and great fun for both the young and old!
