Winemaker Tasting Notes:
This Late Harvest wine has a hint of muscat. It is a delicious after dinner drink to compliment any meal. Can also be consumed as an aperitif or at any time to lift the spirits. The grapes were harvested at 26 Brix, residual sugar 12.
Vineyard Notes:
The vineyards are located in the heart of the
Russian River Valley, in Sonoma County. The long, summer days, followed by cool nights impart distinctive flavors, with deep complex aromas. The result is long, lingering finished from complex, superb wines. Chemicals are not used in the vineyards and all of the wines are allowed to go through natural fermentation. The old vines are non-irrigated, head pruned, and hand picked. The traditional method of viticulture and winemaking is how the exquisite quality in our wines is achieved.
Winery Notes:
All of the wine is currently made in the small, modern winery located next to the still-standing original winery from 1885. Most of the winemaking equipment has been imported from Italy and the wine is made in the old, Italian style with the emphasis on quality.
