Winemaking Notes:
Our most intense vintage yet. While the 2003 is again primarily a blend of our two Cabernet Sauvignon clones, the wine’s complexity is enhanced by a debut splash of our vineyard’s second Bordeaux varietal, Cabernet Franc.
Easily approachable now as a young and proud newcomer in the big, bold
Napa Cabernet world, the wine also shows balanced acidity and chewy
tannins that indicate strong aging potential.
Tasting Notes:
As you take in the concentrated garnet color, your nose is greeted by a blast of cherry cola. A closer sniff reveals ripe berries, black pepper, anise and sandalwood. The juicy palate is laced with cranberry, vanilla bean and almond, and the vibrant finish displays dry oak tannins. Big, bold and balanced.
