Vineyard Notes:
Cornerstone Cellars’ flagship
Howell Mountain offering shows all the traditional power of this mountain district and then some. It is a combination of the traditional vineyard on Liparita Road with a new source, the Heitz Ink Grade Vineyard, for a more complex, more complete wine than they have produced previously.
Winemaker Tasting Notes:
Strong black raspberry, black cherry, sweet pipe tobacco and black pepper interweave to create an intriguing array of aromas. At entry the wine is surprisingly silky and round, with forward flavors of vanilla, sage, grilled fruit, rosemary and toasty French oak. The texture is full and rich and the fruit flavors linger.
