Winemaker Notes:
This elegant wine traces its origins to a vineyard on the eastern slopes of
Rutherford. The property is owned and managed by Frank Woods, esteemed viticulturist with decades of experience. In 2004, this vineyard produced a small crop of extremely flavorful Cabernet Franc. Aged in French oak for 16 months prior to bottling, this aromatic Cab Franc was judiciously blended with 9% Cabernet Sauvignon to add depth and complexity. The result is a traditional, old-world style Cabernet Franc with concentration and integrated tannins typical of Rutherford fruit.
Tasting Notes:
Fragrant aromas of lavender and roses, rich with flavors of blueberry, black cherry, cassis and hints of chocolate. Supple tannins and a lush finish.
