Vineyard and Winemaking Notes:
This handcrafted wine is fashioned from grapes organically grown in our own Laureles Vineyard. The vines struggle in the rocky soil, producing a small crop with beautifully concentrated fruit characteristics. This "coastal cool" microclimate allows a solid backbone of soft tannins and natural acidity. The wine is aged in French Oak barrels for 42 months.
Winemaker Tasting Notes:
Intense aromas of chocolate covered cherries, dried fruit, and candied violets abound. Notice a silky mouth feel with flavors of bright fruit, especially black raspberry and violets that are followed by a lasting finish of baked bread and cherries.
