Vineyard Notes:
One of the world's most highly respected growing regions for Pinot Noir, the
Russian River Valley, produced all the grapes used to create this popular wine. This wine is from seven vineyards that represent several different microclimates and soil types within the Russian River Valley. These include Lindleys' Knoll vineyard, the Moshin vineyard, the Dutton Vineyard, and the Rochioli vineyard. All seven lots were fermented separately in small open topped fermenters and then aged for about 14 months in French Oak barrels.
Winemaker Tasting Notes:
Bright aromas of caramelized Bing cherry greet the nose in this light Pinot Noir. In the mouth the wine's soft velvet tannins set the stage for the lively acids, waves of cherries, black raspberries, and Dr. Pepper. Look for an aftertaste of tart sweet plums.
