Winery Notes:
Sebastopol is a newly discovered gem. Once the home of the Gravenstein apple, it is now a confluence of outstanding vineyards, excellent soil, a balance of sun and fog, renowned winemakers, veteran vineyard managers, cream of the crop students from Davis, hands-on production facilities and a passion for growing Pinot Noir everywhere you turn.
Vineyard Notes:
Planted in 1999, The Farm is cordon pruned using clone 777. Due to its terrior, it is usually our last vineyard to be picked. Surrounded by llamas, sheep bees and dogs, The Farm has consistently given us fruit that is rich and ripe with great texture and structure.
Tasting Notes:
A deep ruby color with rich translucency. Aromas of dark cherry with wafting spices, including cinnamon and a hint of pepper. The palate is broad with full flavor saturation across all quadrants. Leaning to rich red and dark fruit, including bing cherry and raspberry. The spicy aromas deliver on the tongue, with classic fruit-forward overtones. A long finish that penetrates and lingers.
