Harrington 2005 Pinot Noir, Iund Vineyard

Vineyard Notes:
Deep in Carneros country, the Iund Vineyard has been producting stellar Pinots for over 20 years. The vines behind this wine are 25 year old Pommard clones which I have, finally, after many years of watching them go to another winery, been given the chance to work with.

Winemaker Tasting Notes:
This wine rises up from the wild earth. The nose opens up a world of dark smokey gamey Carneros funk with a strong black tea component. The wine is medium bodied with a generous mouthfeel. Serve with roasted meats or grilled sausages. While a very spunky wine now, a few years in a dark place will put this wine in its place.
