Winemaker’s Tasting Notes:
Our 2004 “Bassetti Vineyard” Syrah is a bit more restrained than some of our past vintages. It still retains its signature Cote Rotie aromatics as well as its deep purple appearance. This wine exhibits blueberry, licorice, white pepper, violet, roasted meat, espresso, smoky bacon and toasted oak. It will age very well with a drinking window of 2 to 14 years. Enjoy this wine with rich hearty fare like lamb, venison or wild duck.
