Wine Recommendation:
Leal 2004 "Threesome" Rhone Style Blend
A Note on the Threesome:
Threesome is Leal's risqué and delicious take on the marriage of three classic Rhone red
varietals: Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre. The name reflects both the sexy nature of this
wine and our philosophy to always challenge the existing status quo.
Threesome combines intense fruit, exotic spice and silky texture to the extreme. A wine
that makes you think.
Winemaker Tasting Notes:
Syrah contributes blueberry and dark chocolate characters combined
with pepper, gaminess and structuring tannins. Grenache provides red fruit character and
spiciness. Mourvèdre brings plum and licorice accents. Taken together, we achieved a sexy, juicy mouthfeel, with a luscious lingering finish.
