Varietal Notes:
As we all know, there are myriad styles of Sauvignon Blanc and that's what makes it fun. The goal for us at Nalle is to produce a S.B. with racy acidity, understated oak and the ability to improve with age for 6-10 years. We believe we have the grapes to fulfill that goal, sourcing from Bob and Toni Hopkins in the
Russian River Valley.
Winemaker Notes:
Our second vintage under the Nalle Label again shows a taste of provenance from the land of Bob and Toni Hopkins, veteran growers of outstanding grapes in the Russian River Valley appellation. Our house style includes Semillon (12%) and Chardonnay (8%) co-fermented in neutral French oak. This wine’s varietal blend, attenuated oak and moderate alcohol creates a unique character which begs for a dozen oysters, light-handed seafood dishes or, our favorite, lemon chicken with artichoke hearts. Please lay a few bottles down for 2-4 years to watch its complexity develop.
