Winemaking Notes:
Winemaking for our Dorcich Vineyard Cabernet overlooked no detail. All fruit was hand-harvested and immediately transported to the winery while still cool, then hand-sorted before being gently pressed. Using only American oak barrels that were used in one prior vintage (50% one year old, 50% two year old), we were able to give the wine a balanced oak impression, without striping the wine of its savory fruit flavor.
Tasting Notes:
This mellow fruit forward Syrah has subtly all around. The aroma is savory with deep cherry flavor bring a pleasant mid-mouth finish with a rich, balanced, soft texture of poised tannin. This wine also expresses the earth elements of a coastal Syrah.
