Winemaker's Notes:
Winemaking for our Dorcich Vineyard Chardonnay lots overlooked no detail. All fruit was hand-harvested and immediately transported to the winery while still cool, then hand-sorted before being gently pressed. Using mainly stainless steel tanks to age this wine we created a
fruit forward Chardonnay without the oaky, buttery taste of many Chardonnays.
Tasting Notes:
Fruity and crisp, full bodied Chardonnay. Focused aromas of light pear, ripe cantaloupe, and a touch of honeysuckle are woven between earthier elements. The flavors are complex and savory, revealing tropical and citrus fruit intertwined with mineral element. The palate is balanced with a backbone of acidity evident in the lingering finish. This makes for a fresh, crisp refreshing Chardonnay. Drink from mid-2006 onwards.
