Winemaking Notes:
This wine is a blend of 76% Chardonnay that was barrel fermented and aged, and 24%
Auxerrois that was stainless steel tank fermented and aged. Both components went through malolactic and were stirred on the fine lees prior to blending in the spring. After blending a portion was returned to stainless steel tanks to soften the overall influence of the oak.
Tasting Notes:
Aromas of pear, apple, citrus, cinnamon and toast combine with a rich mouthfeel in this Chardonnay. The cool climate nature of this wine shows in the mineral and floral undertones as well as a honeyed quality that reflects the ripeness of the vintage.
