2009 Kentucky Chambourcin DOUBLE GOLD Beautiful, dark ruby hue with brilliant violet edges. Intense violets, orange peel, juniper and a complexing trace of gaminess. Rich blackberry flavors inhabit a dense but entirely silky mouthfeel with exceedingly fine, sweet tannins. Lively acidity up front combines with energetic minerality in the finish due to limestone and granite bedrock.
