Leo resided in Spain and interned under very old winemakers in the old world styles and techniques. He also attended UC Davis classes for Vineyard Management and Winemaking, and completed the Approved Course for Distance Learners in winemaking.

Charron Vineyards has in excess of 2000 Merlot and 250 Tempranillo vines planted on ten acres, with an additional 4 acres under development which will be planted to Tempranillo as time permits.
