Riesling-obsessed connoisseurs know how important Wiemer Vineyard is to wine. Winery founder Hermann is regarded as one of the pioneers of viticulture and winemaking in the Finger Lakes. The winery is today producing what critics consider to be some of the best grown Riesling in America. Winemaker and viticulturist Fred Merwarth is today perfecting the legacy that distinguishes Hermann Wiemer Vineyard terroir-driven wines, where the wines have the authentic varietal character and balance that differentiates them from other wines.
