The Lucas Winery |
We know of no one who has built a winery like this for Zinfandel. Established in 1977, the new winery was completed in 2000. In the early years I admit to producing "TERRIFYING" Zinfandels. However, as I traveled to the world’s great vineyards, stood in those vineyards and tasted the wines they produced my goal focused on wines of balance. Wines that represent the place they are from. The new winery was then built based on our years of experimentationAll our Zinfandel and Chardonnay wines are 100% varietal. The ZinStar Zinfandel rests 11 to 16 months in New French oak, and is bottle aged for three years. The new winery provides a place to enjoy the many aspects of winemaking and demonstrates the highest potential of the Lodi Appellation.
