Ahlgren 2000 Syrah

Vineyard Notes:
Ventana Vineyards is a vineyard that produces wines of intensity without high alcohols. Doug is a very consistent grower, producing grapes of dependably high quality and fine condition. For several years, we waited for an opportunity to acquire Syrah grapes from Ventana. At last, the time came when they were available, and his wine is proving itself worth the wait. Wherever we offer it for tasting or sale, it has drawn great attention.

Tasting Notes:
This wine has a bright, spicy, black pepper bouquet, aromatic and smoky, classic Syrah characteristics. In the mouth it is has great fruity richness and soft texture. It is supple, yet bold. It has great balance, complexity, and is mouth filling with a lingering finish.
