Tasting Notes:
This Chardonnay is Bonneau’s second release from their esteemed estate vineyard in Carneros. This wine shows a full golden-straw color. The nose displays aromas of tropical fruits intermixed with pear and white peach accented with hints of toasted hazelnuts. On the palate the wine is creamy, round and sleek with succulent citrus and pineapple flavors tastefully framed by delicately toasted French oak. The finish is lush and shows a delightful suggestion of freshly churned sweet-cream butter and hints of vanilla bean.
Food Pairings:
Variety of fresh seafood, assorted cheeses (triple cream brie, sharp cheddar, or fontina), spicy barbecued chicken, or grilled polenta sticks in cream sauce with mushrooms.
