Winemaker Tasting Notes:
What a wonderfully structured wine! It has all the things we look for – bright dark berry fruit in the nose, rich mouth feel in the middle and an elegant velvety soft, almost sweet tannic finish. There is an abundance of raspberry and cocoa, with hints of coffee and leather. We added a dash of Merlot we were saving for a ‘reserve’ program but felt it was best suited in this Cabernet. The resulting blend is a complex wine full of flavor and texture – yet very approachable. It tastes great today...but can easily be aged for years.
Raspberries, cocoa, coffee – complex yet so drinkable!
