Winemaker Tasting Notes:
“The original chocolate-essenced port wine!”
Close your eyes... imagine the flavor of a chocolate kiss melting on your tongue… now open your eyes and find yourself a glass to pour this "manifestation in liquid form". America's favorite fetish... Chocolate!
Combined with the velvety rich character of our Solera-aged Cucamonga tawny port, and our fine bright Cucamonga Ruby Port, this sweet sipper has no rivals but the fight which will ensue with your guests over the last glass! The grape vines used for produced are from the historic
Cucamonga Valley. They are the old vines Grenache, Zinfandel and Alicante Bouschet grapes.
Enticing hazelnut and chocolate aromas, medium to full body, sweet, with nice balance. Quite good in the flavors with medium a finish. The sweet creamy feel on your tongue and the aroma of chocolate make you taste what you smell. What translates as “Sweet Heaven”, “Fondanté Ciello” truly is.
Pairing Notes:
Joseph Filippi Winemaker’s Reserve Fondanté Ciello pours over fresh berries, cheesecake, and pound cake or try on vanilla bean ice cream. Wow!
