Vineyard Notes:
The Rogue Valley offers a variety of soil types and microclimates that allow a great diversity of grape varieties to be grown. Because the Applegate Valley is considerably sunnier, warmer, and drier than elsewhere in Western Oregon, Valley View concentrates on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Viognier, Syrah, and Tempranillo at our estate vineyard.

Varietal Notes:
Viognier has quickly gone from �what is that V wine?� to one of our best selling wines. This wonderfully aromatic dry wine has become the perfect compliment to oak aged Chardonnays.

Tasting Notes:
This latest vintage is showing more of the herbal, orange peel and apple flavors and aromas Viognier develops in a slightly cooler season like 2005. Finished dry, the aroma draws you in and keeps you guessing the multitude of herbs and flowers present while the clean fruit flavors of apricot, peach and citrus lead you into the long crisp finish.

This wine is still developing and should be enjoyed over the next two years, if you can wait that long!
