Kelsey Bench-Lake County lies within the Clear Lake AVA and required minor adjustments to boundaries of Red Hills AVA in final establishment. Located on the southwestern side of Clear Lake it is just to the north and west of Mt Konocti.

9,233 acres of Lake County are involved in Kelsey Bench-Lake County. Soils are definitely volcanic and associated with volcanic activity of Mt. Konocti.

Current Feature

Manton Valley spans Tehema and Shasta Counties in the eastern foothills of the Northern California. This region is very different than the Sierra Foothills AVA much to the south. Volcanic influence abound with Mt Lassen just to the east.  [>] continue
