Blacksmith Cellars

Grown in the Silvaspoons Vineyard, in the Alta Mesa AVA, where lean soils and an under lying sandstone cap present different growing conditions to other parts of Lodi. This vineyard is well known for a wide range of Portuguese white and red varietals, Verdelho being a good match for the warmer climate of this region This Verdelho expresses a result in keeping with this site. Enjoyable aromatics fill the glass and combine with a pale straw color that is inviting you to the first sip. A minerality greets with nice acidity across the mouth. That acidity brings a juicy mouth feel leading into a finish that shows soft and pleasant nuances of citrus. A bit of spicy tannin can be seen in the finish that holds well. Good pairing for spicy Asian foods or seafood.
