Winemaker Tasting & Pairing Notes:
Medium-bodied, ripe fruit with tones of berries, cherries, honey and mild
tannins. Pairs well with red sauce pastas dishes, red meats, fowl or
vegetables that are roasted or grilled with olive oil. A classic grape of
Tuscany’s Chianti.
Winemaking Notes:
Whole berry fermented in small open fermenters. 10-12 days maceration
with 2-3 hand punchdowns per day. Aged in French and American oak for
11 months.
