Tom Westberg has more than 20 years experience with Central Coast grapes and growers, a significant asset for Echelon, known for sourcing exceptional fruit from emerging areas. Sourcing several varieties from several regions gives Westberg a diversity of styles to work with at blending time. For a vintner trying to create a balanced, multilayered wine, that's a plus. "It gives me the flexibility to make the best possible wines," says the winemaker.
