Located above 2,000 ft. in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Tiger Mountain Vineyards began producing award winning wines with its first vintage in 1999. John Ezzard planted European vinifera on a five-generation old North Georgia farm in 1995 and opened the winery with partner Bill Stack who had been studying winemaking for a decade. The small vineyard now places its wines in top restaurants and wine shops in Atlanta, Savannah, Athens and other spots in Georgia.

Tiger Mountain's unique Tannat and Touriga Nacional wines were called "show stoppers" by Master Sommelier and Master of Wine, Doug Frost in the San Francisco Chronicle. The wines, which have garnered more than 60 awards since 2001, have also received positive reviews in Tom Stevenson's Global Wine Report 2004 and 2005 where Tiger Mountain was named one of 10 "up and coming" wineries this year.
