Vineyard Notes:
Bargetto Winery’s Regan Estate Vineyards is nestled in the foothills of the
Santa Cruz Mountains at 500 ft elevation. Its close proximity (7 miles) to the waters of the Pacific Ocean yields grapes with intense concentration of flavors and good acid structure. Limited yields also contribute to the production of rich wine, capable of extended aging.
Winemaker Tasting Notes:
The 2001 LA VITA is produced from a unique blend of northern Italian varietals grown in our estate vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This hand-crafted wine was aged for two and a half years in oak barrels and then aged for an additional two years in the bottle prior to release. The 2001 vintage yielded just 4,200 bottles. Part of the proceeds from the sale of LA VITA will be contributed to a non-profit organization in Santa Cruz.
