Bargetto Winery’s Regan Estate Vineyards is nestled in the foothills of the
Santa Cruz Mountains at 500 ft elevation. Its close proximity (7 miles) to the waters of the Pacific Ocean yields grapes with intense concentration of flavors and good acid structure. Limited yields also contribute to the production of rich wine, capable of extended aging.
Winemaker Tasting Notes:
The grapes from this Santa Cruz Mountains Merlot came exclusively from Regan, our estate Vineyard. The cool climate growing condition is responsible for producing an intense dark cherry and berry aroma in this wine. There is black pepper spice with hints of tobacco and menthol. The wine has firm tannins with a full mouthful and will continue to develop into the bottle for the next 3-5 years.
