DAEDALUS HOWELL
As a youth, Daedalus Howell published poetry and performed on the streets of San Francisco in The Lids, an acoustic cabaret act. He published the satire tabloid SCAM Magazine before studying creative writing at San Francisco State University, later penning columns and features for such newspapers as the San Francisco Chronicle, the LA Downtown News, the Petaluma Argus-Courier (and other publications).
Howell penned the novel “The Late Projectionist” and is active in independent film as a producer, writer and director (his comic R&H Educational Film Series, aired on Showtime and continues to play festivals, other works have appeared on MTV). He co-produced the feature film The Aviary and is a member of the Sonoma County Film Office’s Task Force on Film. Howell is in preproduction for a sci-fi flick to be produced locally and recently starred in the comedy Replica.
Howell currently writes the popular Nomaville column for the Sononoma Valley Sun and the wine column for the North Bay Bohemian. Howell also hosts the Daedalus Howell Show on KSVY 91.3 FM.
